We may also collect normal website data such as device type, browser, pages visited, and general location based on IP address. This helps us keep the site working and understand what people use.

We do not need highly sensitive information to start a match. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, card numbers, or other sensitive records through our forms. A VIN may be helpful in some cases, but it should not be treated as required just to ask for help.

Because ScrapRoute is a matching service, some information needs to be shared so a match can happen.

- service providers that help us run the website, forms, phone, text, email, analytics, or hosting
- legal or government authorities if required by law or to protect rights and safety

We try to share only what is reasonably needed for the request. That usually means vehicle details, part request details, location, and your contact information.

Important: ScrapRoute is not a buyer, seller, salvage yard, dismantler, towing company, or DMV service. We do not buy vehicles, sell parts, transfer titles, or give legal, tax, or DMV advice.

Your choices

You have options.

• You can choose not to submit a form.
• You can ask us to update or delete information you previously sent, subject to legal or operational limits.
• You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.
• You can ask not to be contacted by phone or text for future marketing.
